School Bus Office Support

SCHEDULE:  Monday- Friday, 8am – 5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
SUPERVISED BY: School Bus Operations Manager  
FLSA: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)


Overview of Position:

The School Bus Office Support will help customers plan, develop travel itineraries, and book trips and/or other related details. They will also assist and coordinate with the work of School Bus Operations Manager.


Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist school bus operations manager in tasks, including but not limited to answering calls, pricing field trips (telephone and/or online), booking field trips, and processing credit card payments.
  • Assuring that all info received for future trips (signed contracts are received, itineraries/deposits/final payments received, contact day of phone number on all night/weekend trips)
  • Communicate with dispatch on availability for charters and drivers and ensure they are aware of upcoming events
  • Assist dispatcher in preparing paperwork and notifying drivers.
  • Assist with drive route/ field trips as needed
  • Performing administrative work such as filing and typing.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of two years experience preferred.
  • Ability to use a personal computer. 
  • Good communicational and written skills.
  • Ability to work in coordination with other people.
  • Good personal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of Miller values and business solutions.
